BACKGROUND
FLIGHT MH370 was a Boeing 777-200ER
operating as a scheduled passenger flight
from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.
The flight was on routine, the aircraft was
airworthy, the crew was experienced, and
there were no known issues reported
before departure.
At 01:21 MYT (01:21 AM) , normal tracking
information ended. Military radar later
showed the aircraft had turned away from
its planned route.
It has not been seen since.

OFFICIAL INVESTIGATION
The investigation was led by Malaysia as the State of Registry of the aircraft under ICAO Annex 13.
It involved the participation of Australia, China, France, Singapore, the United States, Indonesia
and the United Kingdom.
The investigation examined all available information, including aircraft systems, crew, maintenance,
communications, radar, satellite data, cargo, search evidence and recovered debris.
The investigation could not establish a definitive explanation for the disappearance due to the absence of the main wreckage and flight recorders.

CURRENT STATUS
2026-27
SEARCH OPERATION EXTENDED
In June 2026, the Government of Malaysia extended the agreement with Ocean infinity for a new search in the remaining area for FLIGHT MH370.
